Cheese please, Obama after hours

WHILE the rest of the media’s eyes follow President Obama’s every footstep during his first visit to Australia, “CityNews” has gathered tidbits on his “after hours” movements while in the capital.

According to our sources, the President sure does love his cheese! On his arrival yesterday to the Hyatt he ordered a cheese platter with brown bread, a banana and margarine. And as a snack before the state dinner at Parliament House, he asked for cheddar cheese with carrots and celery crudités with a blue cheese dressing.

After the state dinner, the President spent the night-in at the Hyatt, playing cards and eating corn chips with guacamole, spicy tomatoes and sour cream dip. According to a staff member: “…he always has that when he plays cards at night.”

He woke this morning to a breakfast of papaya and watermelon with wholemeal toast and margarine.

“CityNews” has heard that 80 rooms were booked at the Hyatt for the visit.

And in Civic last night, his staff enjoyed Canberra’s night life, revealing there were some technical difficulties on the nine-hour flight from Hawaii to Canberra.

According to his staff, if he travels with the family on Air Force One, a Playstation is set up for his daughters Malia and Sasha, to keep them occupied on long flights.

And his drink of choice? Heinekin beer.
