Armed robbery in Ngunnawal

A MAN armed with a knife and a woman, suspected to be armed with a syringe, last night robbed the Spar Express Supermarket in Ngunnawal.

At about 8.30pm, the pair entered the shop and demanded cash from the shop attendant, who handed over money from the cash registers.

The couple fled on foot. No one was injured in the robbery.

Police said the man was described as Caucasian in appearance, between 23 to 29 years of age, about 6’ (183cm) tall, of medium build with an Australian accent, wearing a dark coloured top and trousers with a dark coloured cap.

The woman was described as having olive skin, aged between 20 to 27 years-old, about 6’ (183cm) tall, with an average build and an Australian accent, wearing a dark coloured, long sleeve jumper and dark pants.

Witnesses are to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or visit act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
