Bright and beautiful new fashion

THERE is something to suit every individual style this season as bright colour and minimalist neutrals dominate.

Both trends are ideal for the warmer seasons as they fit easily into any wardrobe and are suitable for day and night.

This season, white is overtaking black as the go-to colour for sleek dressing and stylist Lizzie Wagner says people shouldn’t be afraid of the trend.

“People are scared to wear it, but it looks amazing. It’s all about continuous colour and whenever you wear one colour straight through, you elongate the body,” she says.

“Keep accessories neutral, too. If you team white with beige, you’re on to a winner!

“There are lots of dresses around as well and we are seeing lovely scalloped and draped shapes.”
Another key trend for spring is prints and we’re wearing them bright and bold. Florals are oversized and graphic and popping up everywhere. Lizzie warns, though, there’s a trick to finding the right floral for you.

“Curvaceous and more shapely girls need to go for big, bold florals and petite girls can get away with smaller flowers,” she says.

Fabulous frocks

Nothing says springtime like a gorgeous dress, whether it’s floaty and floral or a bold, block colour, anything goes! We’ve found a great mix of vintage looks for daytime wear.

Amazing accessories

Whether you’re rocking the minimalist look with continuous colour, or mixing it up in this season’s brights, these neutral accessories are great wardrobe staples to keep any outfit looking chic.

Bright ideas

This season’s latest brights in pop colours are a great way to reinvent your wardrobe and look ultra modern. Colour blocking is a trend that’s been around for a few seasons, but there’s never been a better time to join the party. Wear it loud and proud!

"The Collector fiano was perfect to drink on a hot day: crisp, textural and with an element of preserved lemon. It is not a low-alcohol wine with a nudge above 13 per cent alcohol by volume," writes wine columnist RICHARD CALVER.
