The rare coin collection stolen from a car in February.

POLICE recovered about $200,000 worth of rare coins this morning from a home in Melba.

The coin collection, that included rare coins from America, was stolen from the back of a car in February.

Police searched a home in Melba, with members of specialist response and security (bomb response team), who used a metal detector to find the coins in the backyard.

One man was identified as a suspect, however police are still investigating.

Police said the owner was delighted that his rare coin collection was found.
