Police raid drug houses

A SEARCH for drugs by police at a home in Gowrie and a home in Franklin has led to the arrest of a man and a woman.

At about 9pm yesterday detectives from the drug investigations team searched a Gowrie home, and seized drugs suspected of being methyl amphetamine, pills suspected of being MDMA and an amount of cash.

A 31-year-old woman was arrested and taken to the ACT Regional Watch House, where she will be charged with trafficking a controlled drug.

A 29-year-old man was also arrested and taken to his home address in Franklin this morning where a second search found more drugs, suspected of being methyl amphetamine and an amount of cash.

The man was taken to the ACT Regional Watch House where he will be charged with trafficking in a controlled drug. Both the woman and the man will face the ACT Magistrates Court later today where police will be oppose bail on both.
