ACTION is offering free buses on Christmas Day.
“ACTION will operate 11 special bus routes that will travel between major shopping centres and local town centres on Christmas Day – all of which will be free,” said ACTION director James Roncon.
“If you’re planning on catching the bus over the holidays, check out www.action.act.gov.au for information on modified bus timetables, which will operate from December 25 until January 2.”
ACTION will operate a modified weekday timetable from Wednesday, December 28 until Friday, December 30 and the public holiday/Sunday timetables will operate on December 26-27 and January 1-2.
On New Year’s Eve, buses will run to the regular Saturday timetable and the Nightrider service will depart from the City Bus Station between 1am and 4.45 am on NewYear’s Day.
“For people who are out celebrating on New Year’s Eve, don’t forget to make use of the Nightrider service for only $5,” Mr Roncon said.
