A PARADE of fashions throughout the ages will be held on Saturday to raise money for Frocktober – a fundraiser that aims to improve ovarian cancer awareness and research through the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
The parade, which will feature garments from the 1920s to the present, will also include a silent auction and a talk from Professor Jane Dahlstrom, the senior staff specialist in Anatomical Pathology at ACT Pathology at the Canberra Hospital and involved in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer in the ACT.
Professor Dahlstrom is also a professor of Anatomical Pathology at the ANU Medical school and an active researcher at the John Curtin School of Medical Research, with a particular focus on breast cancer.
The proceeds of all the sales of dresses and hats during the silent auction will go towards Frocktober.
