THREE hairdressers from Braddon’s Next Hair have made it to the finals of Goldwell’s ColorZoom Challenge 2011.
With 400 entrants from across Australia and New Zealand, the challenge seeks out the sharpest in the hair industry and winners work with Goldwell’s ColourZoom master team to interpret hair trends for 2013.
Among the finalists were Adam Noble, owner of Next Hair, in the Partner Colorist category, which is only open to senior stylists who have already been selected by Goldwell to work as a trainer or guest artist. Tegan Geale in the Global New Talent Colourist category and Brenna Paterson in the Global New Talent Colourist category. Next Hair’s Rhiannon Whitehead received a judge’s recognition in the Global Creative Colourist award.
Adam Noble, a multiple award winner who has held the most prestigious industry title of all — Australia’s Hairdresser of the Year — says the finalist positions are all the more special because they are now also included in a “People’s Choice” category. “And it’s great to get Canberra’s talent in the limelight,” says Adam.
The Next Team proceeds to the national finals in mid-August. Winners will compete in the international finale in South Beach, Florida, in October 2011 and work with Goldwell’s ColorZoom Master Team to develop and create the 2013 Play Strong Collection.
Next Hair has previously won the titles Australian Hairdresser of the Year and Australian Colourist of the Year. The salon also held the ACT Hairdresser of the Year title for four consecutive years.
