“CITYNEWS” cartoonist and artist Paul Dorin has put his hand up for the 16th year to paint a pair of jeans for the Children’s Medical Research Institute, Jeans 4 Genes charity, black-tie auction and gala dinner in Sydney on September 9.
He has painted the jeans donated by Jules Lund, presenter on Channel 9’s “Getaway”. “Jules is a big personality and a colourful character and suited my style”, says Paul, who spent about 30 hours, mostly at night, working to complete the two-legged canvas.
Last year Paul won the People’s Choice Award for his work on the jeans of former Australian cricket captain Ricky Ponting.
