Life-ban driver nabbed again

A 62-year-old Hughes man, disqualified from driving until 2070, was caught again last night for driving without a licence.

The man, caught on November 8 for the same offence in Symonston, was driving a Ford Falcon ute when police had him pulled over during a random breath test at about 10.30pm on Jerrabomberra Avenue in Narrabundah.

Licence checks revealed his past driving history. While in police custody, officers found a quanity of cannabis in the man’s possession.

The man was arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House and charged with a number of traffic offences and possession of cannabis. He will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court later this morning.
