Local rapper on ‘Q&A’

Local poet and rapper Omar Musa will make his first appearance on ABC's Q & A.

LOCAL poet and rapper Omar Musa will be making an appearance on the ABC’s “Q&A” program on Monday, August 29.

He will join fellow panelists, writer and Paul Keating’s former speech writer Don Watson, authors Anna Funder and Kate Grenville and Afghan activist Malalai Joya.

At the end of the program he will do a short performance – only the third time the program has closed with a performance.

Omar has just completed the recording of his latest album “Money Kat” and is currently doing poetry workshops with children in rural Victoria.

He’ll be back in Canberra to perform at Parliament House on September 20 for the Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia.
