A MAN armed with a Samurai sword and meat cleaver was arrested yesterday at a home in Gilmore.
At about 1.45pm police attended the Gilmore house where they found a 53-year-old man, with the weapons, acting in a threatening manner. Inside the house was a woman and two children.
Police negotiated with the alleged offender, arresting him at about 3.15am.
The man will face ACT Magistrates Court charged with common assault, possession of an offensive weapon with intent and property damage.
