A 30-year-old Oaks Estate man was charged with forgery and using a false document yesterday after he was found allegedly producing fraudulent medical prescriptions and presenting them to pharmacies.
The man was arrested on charges of forgery and using a false document contrary to Sections 346 and 347 of the Criminal Code 2002.
A search warrant on his home was conducted on Wednesday, where police found and seized a number of items in evidence, including computer equipment.
Police contacted the man and offered him the opportunity to surrender, but he refused. He was later found at a property in Page where he was arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House.
He was released on bail and will appear at the ACT Magistrates Court on July 22.
