First bar for Gungahlin

GUNGAHLIN’S first bar and restaurant opens this Friday.

Siren, owned by Gungahlin resident Daniel Gaul, a part-owner of  All Bar Nun, underwent a $1.5m fit-out to encompass a bar, restaurant and outdoor deck.

Mr Gaul said the frustration with the lack of quality dining options in the area drove him to open Gungahlin’s first bar and restaurant.

“I have lived out in Gungahlin for the last six years and there has never been a place to go out and have some good food and drinks with friends,” he said. “As a Gungahlin resident, I know what people are looking for, and I will be making sure my neighbours are happy.”

Mr Gaul said he was looking to support the Gungahlin district through the sponsorship of local organisations and sporting teams.

“We can’t wait to see some of the local sporting teams running on to the field with the big Siren ‘S’ on their backs,” he said.
