LAST month 207 drivers were caught talking on their mobile phones while driving.
ACT Police said research shows that driver distraction is a significant contributing factor in serious motor vehicle collisions.
Also caught last week, were 26 drink drivers, seven of the drivers were required a zero alcohol level reading and eight drivers had been caught at least once before for drink driving.
A 46-year-old man, who was required a reading of 0.05, received the highest reading for the month with 0.180.
This month ACT Police will target speeding.
