Public art damaged again

The sculpture, "On the Staircase", is undergoing repairs again.

Danish sculptor Keld Moseholm’s piece, “On the Staircase”,  has been damaged again – after just three days of being back to perfect condition.

“This time they’ve hacksawed at them, to try and get the figures off,” says Graeme Taylor, from Mag Welding Services, who’s fixing the damaged Petrie Plaza sculpture yet again.

“This is the third time we’ve replaced the little guy, and the second time we’ve replaced the second guy,” he says.

“If this carries on the sculpture will get removed entirely.”

Graeme says that CCTV footage from the camera focused on the sculptures is being checked.
