Rock thrown at taxi

A ROCK thrown at a front passenger window of a taxi this morning has seen two men injured.

At about 4am, police received a report of the incident on Belconnen Way at the intersection of Macarthur Avenue in O’Connor.

Police said a 20-year-old Palmerston man required glass to be removed from under his eyelid and a 19-year-old Hawker man received a laceration to his lip, requiring stitching. They were both taken to hospital for treatment.

Police spoke with three men at the location, who are assisting police with their enquiries.

Witnesses of suspicious activity on Belconnen Way before 4 am this morning are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
