Salvos want winter clothes

WITH temperatures gently on the rise, The Salvos are asking for donations of unwanted winter clothing.

General manager of Salvos Stores, Neville Barrett said: “Now is a great time for people to spring clean their wardrobe and donate any unwanted winter clothing to Salvos Stores.

“Our planning and preparations for the next year’s cold winter months is starting now. Other seasonal clothing would also be greatly appreciated”.

In addition to providing clothing to the less fortunate who are in urgent need of assistance, Salvos Stores also sell pre-loved clothing, furniture and other goods.

“All proceeds go towards our vital services which include; addiction recovery support, crisis accommodation, homeless youth programs, support for families in need, emergency services, employment services, rural chaplaincy, aged care services and telephone counselling, to mention just some of our work in the community,” he said.

Donations, during normal business hours, to any Salvos Store or phone 137258.
