Take-away try goes wrong

A MAN attempted to rob the Pizza Hut store in Holt on Friday night, armed with a syringe.

The man entered the store at about 10pm and approached the front counter carrying a syringe. He threatened an employee and demanded they hand over cash.

The employee refused and the man left the store. He was last seen driving away in a dark coloured Mitsubishi Magna towards Southern Cross Drive.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, 175cm (5’9”) tall, with a solid build and wearing a blue hooded top, black balaclava and tracksuit pants.

Witnesses of the attempted aggravated robbery or who saw a man matching the above description in the Holt area on Friday night are urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
