Taking ACTION on Hawaiian Shirt Day

By Vanessa Lam

ACTION bus drivers will be driving up their fashion sense tomorrow, to help celebrate and raise awareness of the ACT Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group’s Hawaiian Shirt Day.

“Across Canberra, ACTION bus drivers will proudly wear a Hawaiian shirt to support families who have a member undergoing treatment for cancer and we are encouraging commuters to do the same,” ACTION director James Roncon said.

“ACTION is very proud to support the ACT Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group. We hope that the splash of colour on Canberra’s buses will help raise awareness of the emotional and financial support they provide to families in the community.

“We are encouraging all Canberrans to get involved and wear a Hawaiian shirt, make a gold coin donation, and purchase a Hawaiian Shirt Day badge to raise awareness and show you care.”

Hawaiian Shirt Day badges are available at Capital Chemists and Westpac banks for $4.
