THE Canberra International Riesling Challenge, which sees the world’s best varieties of Riesling compete against local product, was launched today at the Hyatt.
The launch also paid tribute to the recent passing of foundation committee member and deputy chair Jim Murphy AM, with the introduction of a new trophy.
The trophy will be presented each year to the Riesling which is judged to be the ‘Best Current Vintage from Australia’.
The Canberra International Riesling Challenge will be held at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra and the Albert Hall from October 3-8.
The awards presentation ceremony will be held at the Hyatt Hotel on Friday October 7 with the exhibitors and public tasting on Saturday October 8.
