ACT takes top gongs at real estate awards

INDEPENDENT Property Group has been inducted into the Real Estate Institute of Australia’s Hall of Fame – just one of the awards picked up by a Canberra real estate company at last night’s REIA National Awards for Excellence.

Other winners were Peter Blackshaw Manuka for Large Residentail Agency of the Year, Raine & Horne Commercial Canberra for Commercial Agency of the Year, Richard Keeley of Luton Properties for Residential Salesperson of the Year and Independent Property Group for Innovation Award.

“It is a real tribute to the strength and depth of the local real estate profession that so many of our members were honoured at the REIA National Awards,” Real Estate Institute of the ACT director Craig Bright said.

“These are the real estate industry’s top awards and each of the finalists has proven they are amongst the best performers in the profession.

“Considering the size of the ACT, the success our members enjoyed last night suggests we are really batting above our weight in terms of the number of leading agencies located right here in Canberra.”

Nominees included: Peter Blackshaw for Inner North and Rural Medium Residential Agency of the Year, Maria Selleck Properties for Small Residential Agency of the Year, Mark Terracini of Raine & Horne Commercial Canberra  for Commercial Salesperson of the Year, Alexandra Scott of Top Notch Property Management for Residential Property Manager of the Year, Peter Nyers of Raine & Horne Commercial Canberra for Commercial Property Manager of the Year, Luton Properties for the Communication Award, Shaun Iqbal of Independent Property Group for the Achievement Award, Peter Blackshaw Real Estate Inner North & Rural for Community Service Award and Sophie Luton of Luton Properties for Corporate Support Person of the Year.
