Barr relishes Olympic late nights

ACT Sport Minister Andrew Barr says he knows he’s not alone in looking forward to many late nights watching the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic coverage.

The Minister today congratulated all the ACT Academy of Sport (ACTAS) athletes who are taking part in the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in London.

“Like all Canberrans, I am extremely proud of the ACTAS athletes who have been selected in the 2012 Australian Olympic and Paralympic teams,” he said.

The ACTAS-supported athletes who will compete in the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games are:

Melissa Breen, athletics

Caroline Buchanan, BMX

Chloe Hosking, cycling

Anna Flanagan, hockey

Glenn Turner, hockey
