THE police bomb squad were called to a false alarm when a suspicious package was found on Constitution Avenue in Civic.
Staff at the Department of Climate Change and Efficiency were evacuated from the building and Constitution Avenue between London Circuit and Allara Street were closed, due to the bomb scare.
ACT Policing’s Specialist Response and Security Bomb Response Team examined the package and found it non suspicious.
Road closures in the area have been lifted.
