Canberra zombies go live

A FEW months ago, “CityNews” spent a pleasant Sunday afternoon among the corpses and entrails of the ACT’s own zombie movie, “Theatre of the Dead,” set in the unlikely environment of Erindale Theatre.

On Friday,  after almost 10 months of work, the film, directed by Patrick Gallagher and co-produced by  Daniel Sanguineti and James Cougar, will make its debut on YouTube with its first official trailer.

In an email that reached us today reading, “Ladies, Gentleman and Zombie Lovers” (which is “CityNews”?) we are asked to watch the trailer at least 10 times then help “spread the trailer high and far across the net and around the globe.”

We’re doing our bit for a home-grown Canberra enterprise that has provided work and film experience for a large number of eager Canberrans.

When we visited the movie set, Sanguineti explained that “Theatre of the Dead” was “a show within a show – there’s a play called ‘Angels In Hell’ – the cast and crew are locked away in the theatre, outside the zombies have taken over.”
