BELCONNEN Fresh Food Markets will be the setting for the launch of Australian Dance Week at The Piazza’s Dance Stage tomorrow, April 28.
Dance week is a celebration of dance in all its forms, and this free dance display will feature folk, Greek, tribal, jazz and hip-hop. As well, there will be an opportunity to learn about different dance styles and talent in Canberra.
As hosts of the event, Belconnen Fresh Food Markets are quick to talk up the positive message that youth must become more active and make smart choices in nutrition and exercise, especially with growing obesity rates in our community.
The week that follows will be a time for celebrating, getting out and giving it a go, with dance displays, performances and free classes throughout Canberra. There will be a follow-up event at the markets on Saturday May 5 showcasing even more dancers.
