Drugs found in car search

DRUGS, drug paraphernalia and money was found by police in a car in Lyneham on Sunday morning.

About 12.30am, police officers saw a man in the stationary car at a Lyneham carpark. While speaking to the man, police officers saw what appeared to be illegal substances inside clear bags in the car.

Police searched the car, finding substances suspected to be methyl-amphetamine and MDMA, drug paraphernalia and a sum of cash.

A 22-year-old Nicholls man will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning, charged with trafficking in controlled drugs and possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime.
