Failed ram raid in Dunlop

POLICE are looking for witnesses to an attempted ram raid this morning at Woolworths in Dunlop.

About 4.30am police received a report of a ram raid at the supermarket. At the scene, police found a white Ford Falcon one-tonne utility, which had been stolen from an address in MacGregor.

The front doors of the building and some stock were damaged however no one had entered the store and no property was stolen.

CCTV footage shows a person getting out of the crashed vehicle and leaveing in another car.

Belconnen police located another stolen vehicle, which they believe to be involved, nearby. Both vehicles are undergoing forensic examination.
