‘Gap Year’ tops the local TV ratings

THIS week Hamish and Andy’s “Euro Gap Year” recorded its best-yet audience figure of over 56,000 in the latest local TV rating as reported by Grey Advertising media newsletter “Eye on the Media”.  The ABC’s comedy/crime series “Death in Paradise” also continues to do well, but the big focus was homes and gardens, with WIN’s “The Block” putting in a strong performance in the lead-up to the final auction.

With 22 of the top 50 programs in the latest survey period (20 May to 16 June), WIN had the highest ratings across all demographic groups in both peak and all-day viewing times. Prime’s “Packed to the Rafters” and “Downton Abbey” and TEN’s “Masterchef” were the only non-WIN programs to make it into the top 20.
