FIREFIGHTERS battled a house fire this afternoon on McLaren Crescent, Pearce.
Crews forced entry to the home to extinguish a fire after a neighbour raised the alarm at 3.52pm.
The blaze was contained in the kitchen as a result of unattended food cooking on a stove.
No-one was at home at the time of the fire.
