Labor gets ‘personal’ in election war

ACT Labor have gone one step further in their attack on the Canberra Liberals, launching a website which they claim is a “one-stop shop for Canberrans to learn about the Liberals’ lies and misinformation.”

The launch comes less than two weeks ahead of the ACT election.

Deputy Chief Minister Andrew Barr says the website, www.realzed.com, reveals “the Liberals’ lies and gaffes over the past month.”

The “real Zeselja Liberals” features extracts from newspapers and grabs from radio interviews with the party.

But the Canberra Liberals have been dismissive of the launch, accusing Labor of resorting to “personal attacks” which are “desperate and untrue.”

Barr has defended Labor’s decision to run the website, saying he felt it necessary to highlight “lies” in relation to “rates” and “costings on health and education.”
