Live music at Belconnen

LIVE@BAC is back again tomorrow night with acoustic music by local band The Burley Griffin and musician Adam Brown.

The Burley Griffin
Belconnen Arts Centre staffer are talking up their spacious foyer and magnificent views overlooking Lake Ginninderra, as they prepare for their first spring event.

“Live supports local artists and at the same time enables you to meet your friends, have a few drinks and a light snack, relax and enjoy original live music, as you watch the lake change at dusk.” says Belconnen Community Arts Officer, Philip Piggin.

The Burley Griffin combine folk/rock style and song writing with a bit of alt country, and like to describe themselves as “slick, quick and generously moustachioed.”

Brown has recently moved to Canberra from New Zealand, where he was a member of touring band “Burning July.” His background is in pop punk and he says he is influenced by bands like Coldplay, Tallest Man of Earth and artist John Mayer.

Cost is $5 at the door. The Art Centre’s Kiosk/Bar is well stocked with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, snacks and coffee.

The next Live @ BAC is scheduled for October 12.

Live @BAC Friday, September 14, 5:30–7:00pm at Belconnen Arts Centre, 118 Emu Bank, Belconnen.
