Machete-wielding men rob Weston store

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two men robbed a Weston fast food store and threatened staff with a machete last night.

Around 9.20pm two men, with their faces covered, entered Kingsley’s Chicken on Liardet Street and threatened staff with the machete, demanding cash.

Staff members complied with their demands and the two men left the store with a small amount of cash.

The two men were seen running towards a green Subaru Liberty station wagon. The vehicle, which had been reported stolen earlier in the day, was later located by police on Chauvel Circle in Chapman.

Anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the Kingsley’s Chicken store yesterday and witnessed the robbery should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
