Maher loses spot in ABC shake-up

ABC local radio afternoon announcer Louise Maher, pictured, has been dropped from the on-air line-up for the New Year, being appointed to the role of local field reporter.

Unsurprisingly, the strong-rating Ross Solly remains in breakfast,  Alex Sloan has swapped her morning shift with afternoon announcer Genevieve Jacobs and Adam Shirley, who has filled in on 666 will move to Maher’s drivetime role.

One Response to Maher loses spot in ABC shake-up

Really, really sorry to hear that Louise Maher will no longer be doing Afternoons on 666. She’s a really good broadcaster and will be a serious loss. I think the breakfast program is in far greater need of a shake-up, and would point out that the timeslot pretty much always ensures that the breakfast program rates highly. Can I be the first to nominate Louise Maher for breakfast? Best wishes to a really lovely presenter — smart, astute and entertaining.
