Man caught filming in the ladies’

A MAN was arrested today after being caught filming in the women’s toilets at Westfield Woden.

About 2.45 pm police were called to the shopping centre where Westfield security officers detained a man after catching him loitering in and around the women’s toilets.

Police said a search of the man’s phone showed inappropriate images of girls and women while in the women’s toilets.

The 29-year-old man from Theodore, was arrested by Woden police and taken to the ACT Regional Watch House.

He is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow where police will be opposing bail.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed a similar incident at Woden Westfield or any other shopping centre to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or viawww.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
