Man on teen sex charges

A 20-year-old Macquarie man has been charged with sexual offences on two teenage girls.

The man was arrested about 7.10pm on Friday January 20 and was taken to the ACT Watch House. Police will allege the man paid the girls in exchange for performing sexual acts.

He was charged with two counts of Act of Indecency on a person under 16 and sexual intercourse with a person under 16 of age.

Police said investigations were ongoing with the possibility of further charges being laid.

He was released on Watch House bail and will face the ACT Magistrates Court on February 2.
