Manuka servo robbed at knifepoint

POLICE are looking for witnesses to an armed robbery last night at a service station in Manuka.

About 11pm, a man entered the Coles Express service station on Canberra Avenue, carrying a bread knife and demanding money.

The offender was given a small amount of money, and ran out of the shop towards Stuart flats on Light Street, Griffith.

The offender is described as of African appearance, with a skinny build, 160cm tall, wearing a red-hooded jumper, jeans, white shoes and a blue and white scarf wrapped around his face.

Witnesses are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333000, or visit www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
