Pizza thief flees with cash

A MAN armed with a knife robbed a Mawson pizza store and threatened staff on Friday night.

Police say the man entered the Domino’s store in Mawson Place around 9.05pm with a knife and made demands for cash while threatening a staff member.

The staff member complied with the demands and the man fled with a sum of cash.  He was last seen running in a westerly direction from the store, towards Athllon Drive.

The man can be described as 5’8” (173cm) in height, wearing a black balaclava, grey ‘hoodie’, dark coloured tracksuit pants, white gloves and white shoes.

Anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or saw a man matching the above description should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
