Zed helps out with Dainere’s new book

Teenage author Dainere Anthoney with Opposition Leader Zed Seselja at the “mini” launch of her new book.
FOURTEEN-year old Canberra girl Dainere Anthoney has an aggressive brain tumour. Two years ago she wrote and published a book about the difficulties she faces on a daily basis.

Despite receiving palliative care for pain, Dainere is still blogging every week. More than that, she has written another book called ‘Theodore and Friends – Theodore is left out”.

It was initially written as a school assignment about a bear who was happy until the day he was confined to a wheelchair and excluded by other children.

Family friend Anna Chrysostomou contacted ACT Opposition leader Zed Seselja, who had attended the launch of the first book, for help to publish the new work. On behalf of the Canberra Liberals, he agreed to fund the publishing of 200 copies of the book, with all proceeds going to the Sydney Children’s Hospital Brain Tumour Research Fund.

There was a “mini” launch of the book today.

The book costs $15 through Dainere’s parents at santhone@bigpond.net.au.

Dainere’s blog is at dainere.blogspot.com.au/
