New studio for actors in Narrabundah

Makeup class at the academy
CANBERRA  Academy of Dramatic Art, the winner of the 2011 Canberra Business Point Award in the Creative and Design section, has just opened a new studio for actors in Narrabundah.

Equipped for the training of actors, the studio is now home to full-time students in the Certificate III in Performance (Acting) program.

According to the managing director, Elizabeth Scott, the studio has a special soft-cushioned flooring, as well as lighting and audiovisual equipment for training in screen acting.

The rear of the premises houses an office, small performing arts library, and student recreation area.

Canberra Academy of Dramatic Art will continue to run acting classes for about 200 children and young people in community halls around Canberra, but this venue will become its home base for its flagship vocational education courses.

Canberra Academy of Dramatic Art’s new studio can be found at 3/16  Iluka St,  Narrabundah. Inquiries  to 1300 908 905 or visit www.cada.net.au
