Newcomer wins ACT photography award

Canberra Professional Photographer, Danielle Stahl, was awarded the title of 2012 AIPP ACT Family Photographer of the Year at the annual Epson NSW/ACT Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) Professional Photography Awards held in Sydney on Monday night.

Stahl, who specialises in newborn & baby fine art portraiture, won the title with four prints. The judges were impressed with her natural style of photographing babies and her polished images. She recently relocated to Canberra after running a newborn & baby portrait studio in Darwin, NT.  This is the first time she has entered the ACT awards.

Stahl photographs newborns & babies in a simple way, using  minimal props. Winning the title of ACT Family Photographer of the Year 2012, is an exciting achievement for Danielle, who has been in the photography industry for the last five years. She says she is excited about the positive impact winning the title of ACT Family Photographer of the Year may  have on her business.
