Pet dog stolen from RSPCA

POLICE are seeking witnesses to the theft of a Maltese Terrier on the weekend from the RSPCA in Weston.

Daisy, a female Maltese Terrier, went missing Sunday afternoon from Monash. Police said she was later found and taken to the RSPCA by a member of the public where she was kept overnight.

At 9 am on Monday January 23, Daisy’s owner arrived at the RSCPA to collect her and it was discovered that she was stolen.

Police said Daisy’s enclosure, an after-hours collection cage, had been broken into, with the plastic weather shield and cable ties cut, and the wire mesh pulled back with force to remove Daisy from the cage.

Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Daisy or can assist with the investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
