Thief ‘threatened to stab’ 13 year old boy

A MAN robbed and threatened to “stab” a 13-year-old boy in Gilmore yesterday afternoon.

About 3.30pm the boy got off a bus and was walking towards Isabella Drive when he was approached by a man on an orange mountain bike.

The man kept his right hand in his pocket and demanded the boy hand over a wallet and phone, threatening to “stab him”.

The handed over his phone as he did not have a wallet, and the man left in an unknown direction.

The offender is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 18 years old and approximately 183cm tall, with a skinny build and acne on his face. He was wearing a white jumper with the hood over his head and long pants.

Police say no injuries were sustained during the robbery.

Anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the Chisholm Shopping Centre and witnessed the robbery should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
