Vandals attack Manuka Oval lights

POLICE are investigating a vandalism attack on the Manuka Oval lighting project, after someone cut dozens of cables in one of the light poles on the weekend.

Workers at the site discovered about 30 electrical cables had been cut in the base of one of the light poles early yesterday morning.

The $5.34 million lighting project is due to be unveiled at next year’s Prime Minister’s XI one-day cricket match against the West Indies on January 29.
