Where budding filmmakers learn the tricks of trade

LOCAL filmmakers will have the opportunity to learn all about programs and initiatives at this year’s ScreenACT Expo Night on Thursday, May 3.

Highlights include: the Low Budget Feature Pod; artsACT’s Project Fund 2013; ScreenACT Development Fund; ACT Screen Investment Fund update; SASI and low cost liability insurance; ScreenACT’s newest camera equipment for hire; governance, structure and areas of ScreenACT; and meet the ScreenACT Taskforce.

According to the director of ScreenACT, Monica Penders, the local industry has expanded over the past three years, gaining national and international exposure and ScreenACT has evolved along with this growth.

The evening will start with a presentation by the ScreenACT Team and local experts, followed by a Q&A and then the opportunity to talk one on one at a selection of “booths” that will cover the major funding and development initiatives.

Entry is free, but RSVP is essential at www.screenact.com.au/expo
