Man arrested for alleged pub burglary

A 25-year-old Gordon man has been arrested for robbing the Wig and Pen pub in Civic last month.

Police allege the man entered the pub between 1.30am and 10am on Sunday 29 July and stole a safe containing cash and a set of master keys.

On Thursday, Criminal Investigations detectives executed a search warrant at the man’s house and seized a set of master keys to the licensed premises, a mobile phone and a sum of cash.

The man was arrested at his house yesterday morning and was arrested, where he was charged with burglary and theft.

He will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning where police will oppose bail.

One Response to Man arrested for alleged pub burglary

I believe that the A.C.T police do a marvellous job…. NOT! my son was unlawfully arrested and charged some time ago. After a review of the case he was then proven not guilty. The media should not publisise anything untill they have facts. I understand how discriminating this can be. And I hope they do find the person or PERSONS responsible for the robbery.
