OVER 1000 people were forced to evacuate from a Russell office building today after an electrical roof blaze.
Firefighters used three fire pumpers, the specialist Hazardous Materials Unit, Breathing Apparatus Van and a Skylift Hydraulic Platform to extinguish the fire, which was contained to the roof of the building.
No injuries were reported, and crews are currently conducting air monitoring and ventilation operations.
