“ENTERTAIN Us!” is a presentation coming up tomorrow at the Arc Cinema about the rise and fall of alternative rock in the 1990s.
It’s a conversation with “Entertain Us!” author Craig Schuftan, Mick Harvey (The Birthday Party, The Bad Seeds) and Suzie Higgie (Falling Joys).
Craig Schuftan promises takes us on a trip through the 90s – from Sonic Youth to Radiohead to Nu-Metal to Woodstock ?99 – narrated in the voices of the decade’s most important artists. This is the story of alt rock – the personalities, the fans, the industry and the culture.
Higgie will perform and there’ll be and indie gems from the NFSA collection, as well as book sales and signing.
“Entertain Us!” at the National Film and Sound Archive, Thursday, Feb 7, 5:30-6:30pm
