POLICE have extradited a 31-year-old man from Cooma who allegedly robbed a Chapman supermarket at gunpoint last week.
About 6.20am last Monday, the man entered the IGA Store store on Perry Drive armed with a firearm, demanding cash and assaulting an employee.
Staff complied with the demand and the offender fled the premises with cash from the register.
Earlier today ACT Policing detectives, with assistance from New South Wales Police, executed a search warrant on a property in Cooma and seized several items, including a firearm.
NSW Police arrested the man on an ACT First Instance warrant. The man appeared in the Queanbeyan Local Court this afternoon, where his extradition to the ACT was granted.
He will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
