Cyclist hit by truck in Campbell

A CYCLIST has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a van in Campbell this morning. 

Around 7.30am the cyclist, a 47 year old Pearce man riding in a reclining position, was struck by the van at the intersection of Anzac Parade and Blamey Crescent.

The cyclist was taken to The Canberra Hospital with rib and abrasion injures. Police diverted traffic during the incident.

ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team are currently investigating the incident.
